The downtown area is a little sparse when it comes to friendly neighborhood bars, but Harry's is the rare exception in a landscape dominated by shops and office buildings. Harry's has both table service and a bar. The menu offers a range of tasty salads and sandwiches to steaks, salmon and barbecue dishes. It seems that many Washingtonians have discovered Harry's. Both the restaurant and the bar do a brisk business.

Bartenders are the best at Harry's. They treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. I'd recommend their grilled chicken salad or the wings! Haven't had their burgers, but I'm sure they are awesome.

Harry's is my favorite place in the DC Metro area. I've been plenty of times and have always had great service, great food, and great drinks. Tom, one of the bartenders, is easily the best bartender I have ever been around!

It is extremely difficult to explain how some one will choose to eat lunch at the same location every day of the week. This ritual has been going on for the past 8 years. The reason excellent food, good atmophere, good management, good and excellent screening to ensure the most qualified waittreses are the only ones employed by HARRY's. How can you complain about see Chuck, the Manager greeting you everytime you get into the restaurant. The service is quick and the division of labor makes the services so smooth. Please to every one that works here in Washington or is visiting Washington you need to go to HARRY's. This is coming from me Harry not affliated with the restaurant.

Most of the time, when we want a burger, we want it big, juicy, and sloppy. What we want is a burger like the one at Harrry’s in DC’s Hotel Harrington (436 11th St., NW’ 202-624-0053). Harry’s isn’t a hangout for the self important; the place is ringed with cops and conventioneers. Burgers are rarely so guilty a pleasure: nothing fancy, no technique on display, and the meat doesn’t come from some farmer who gets credit on the menu. It’s a real juicy, sloppy sandwich. Oh - and chips and two Oreos on the side. What’s not to love?

Expect black-and-white checkered floors, faux Tiffany lights and outdoor seating with heat lamps.

Harry's serves the standard fare of its ilk: grilled chicken sandwich ($8.25), New York strip ($13.95), chef salad ($8.75), pork chops ($12.25) and so on.

Happy hour is Monday through Friday, 4 to 9 p.m., when all drinks are discounted.

Wonderful place for a Burger. If you go during the warmer weather months there is outside seating. So you not only get good food, but you always have something to look at. The wait staff are very friendly as well.
